Dr Karl Cole recognised by the health informatics sector

Chief Clinical Information Officer Dr Karl Cole has been named as a founding fellow of the Fellow of Health Informatics New Zealand (FHiNZ) programme.

The FHiNZ programme recognises health informatics leaders who demonstrate significant digital and data achievement and contributions, leadership and service for the health and disability sector of Aotearoa New Zealand.

It honours those who are working at the peak of the health informatics profession.

Karl and the Clinical Informatics team at healthAlliance work hard to bridge the divide between healthcare and IT to help our DHB and primary care customers in the Northern region deliver more effective healthcare and to enable better health outcomes for the nearly two million people who access their services.

Still a practicing GP in Papatoetoe, this latest acknowledgement of Karl’s service to digital health is a reflection of his significant contribution to the field of health informatics in our region and throughout Aotearoa  – ka rawe te mahi ngātahi!
